Baldock Folk Club was formed in 2019 by Brian Burke, Tony Gammage and Greg Rose, with support from Rob Scahill at The Orange Tree in Baldock.
The club meets fortnightly on Wednesdays. Our programme runs from September until just before Xmas, then from mid-January until early July. Doors open at 7.30pm and music starts at 8.00pm, with finishing time around 10.15pm.
Entrance is free on most nights. We “pass the hat around” and welcome donations from our audience to cover the main artists fees and/or travel costs.
Sometimes we host well known artists or groups and on these occasions an entrance fee will apply.
We welcome applications from performers to take part in floor spots which take place prior to the main artists performance. We try to accommodate four or five floor spots as a maximum, so please book your place as early as possible to ensure you get an opportunity to play.
