What an absolutely stonking gig by Camus - Cambridge based folk band. Superb musicianship, excellent rapport with the audience and a good turnout. Good stuff from Brian Burke and Kevin Naughton too, and Tony Gammage managed to squeeze in a fitting tribute to Kris Kristopherson as well. Well done everyone for stepping up and giving us another great night at Baldock Folk Club. Well done too the BFC singers, aka the audience, who were much appreciated by Camus. hoping to get Tennesse Twin back sometime and sorry they couldn’t be with us last night.

A lovely evening at the club last night with American duo Friction Farm kicking off their UK tour. What a joy to hear them: masterful home made songs and two great voices in perfect harmony! We wish them well on the rest of their tour. We had a great set too from Twitchy Fingers, playing their distinctive country blues style with numbers from Doc Watson and Hank Williams among others. We also welcomed Mike Norman who gave us an excellent floor spot with a mix of covers and self-penned songs. An appreciative audience, too, which built up as the evening wore on. Maybe something to do with the rain letting up?
Don't forget to come down to The Orange Tree, Baldock tonight for some great live music!
