Well in the olden times I could say we have come of age !We have some great mature as well as raw items this show which again is packed with local and National talent.Let’s start with the showcases, our own Tony Gammage and his partner in crime John has a great set of songs with Twitchy Fingers and there is one from Brooks Williams tacked on ....We also have our own “Burns Corner“ featuring three great songs from the legend that is Pat Crilly , a couple from me and an almighty Auld Lang Syne from countless musicians at the Orange Tree.We have also added a new spot featuring young talented roots musicians. This week it's a song from Callum Granger.Molly Armstrong has another great song for us and some great guitar from Chris Howe. Our own Greg Rose gives us an acoustic Bowie number, and there’s more great trad tunes from the Devines and Kevin Naughton. The doyen of the 5 string banjo Dave Stacey weighs in with two ,one on a fretless banjo like you see in old USA civil war films.Local Baldock hero G gives us first dibs on a beautiful tune and singer songwriter Ciaran Stone makes his first appearance with a self penned song. Finally I was so moved by a programme on Rob Burrow the rugby league lad from Leeds who has MND and his pal Kev Sinfield who ran seven marathons in seven days that I wrote a song over Christmas that I perform called “ A True Pal“Now if that doesn’t whet your appetite for a great 1 1/2 hours on a cold and wet January night I do not know what will!!!So please tune in and share with all your friends and it should be a great eveningAll music remains the copyright of the owners, we're a not-for-0profit local folk club. ...
