Baldock Virtual Folk Club ran from May 2020 until April 2021. Once a fortnight we posted a ‘live’ one-hour show on Facebook Live and later on Youtube. We are grateful to all the musicians who sent us video recordings of themselves playing and singing. As well as entertaining our Baldock Folk Club audiences while they were stuck at home unable to come down to the club – and indeed entertaining many friends and followers from around the world – the virtual folk club shows helped to keep our performers engaged with the art and practice of music-making. In short, they helped to keep us all sane!
