Sheri Kershaw / Linda Moylan

Hailing originally from Canada, Sheri Kershaw has lived and worked in England for all of her professional life, achieving fame in the ‘Eighties singing and playing alongside her then-husband Nik Kershaw. Sheri is a prolific songwriter in her own right and her styles have varied over the years, spanning the musical styles of jazz and blues and Americana.

She was influenced strongly by songwriters such as Joni Mitchel and James Taylor and jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Working through the years with some of the most eminent and talented professional musicians in the country such as Robbie Gladwell and Mick Hansen, Sheri has been playing for many years now with her well-established trio comprising electric guitarist Martyn Hewitt and bassist Chris Brimley. Sheri has three albums under her belt and a fourth on the way and we are greatly looking forward to her debut appearance at the club.

London-Irish folk singer Linda Moylan returns for a third visit to the club. A natural songwriter and storyteller, Linda’s earthy and beautiful voice intertwines with moving, relatable narratives. Drawing comparisons to Kirsty MacColl and Natalie Merchant, her unique musical blend adds an enchanting Irish troubadour twist. Dive into her evocative sound and let your spirit be stirred.

In 2020 Linda released a duet with the late, great folk legend Julie Felix – recorded and released just before the sad loss of Julie. Linda’s second full album ‘The Merchant’, released in 2021, has a distinctly folk flavour and was produced by English folk royalty in the form of Show Of Hands’ Phil Beer. The album  is a reflection of folk life today from the working class streets of London – a perspective that Linda is at home in and an authentic narrator of. It garnered some great reviews and plenty of airplay – including from several BBC shows.
